Each hand is imaged as a clay canvas and embedded with an imprint of culture and nature. It is as if the hand has morphed and the flesh has become internalized into a kind of technological evolutionary second skin. It is part of an ongoing fascination with the fragments of the body seen as acute aspects of portraiture.
